BUDDY WYNKOOP

Buddy Wynkoop is a six-piece art-punk band from Portland, Oregon, known for turning chaos into catharsis. With shout-sung vocals, jagged guitars, and spoken-word spirals, they channel the anxious pulse of modern life into something wild, weird, and unforgettable.

  • "How to describe Buddy Wynkoop? I dunno…cram Parquet Courts+Devo+Fugazi and a dash of IDLES into a half-empty jar of crunchy-style JIF (old school glass, no plastic shit) then send that jar rolling down Portland’s SW College St. until it bounces and smashes all over the asphalt. Make a PBJ with the wreckage. Stuff the whole thing in your mouth and wash it down with Monster Energy. Or the beverage of your choice." ~Circles of Sound

  • “Buddy Wynkoop isn’t trying to play it cool or polished. They’re bringing back that wild, unpredictable magic that makes you fall in love with live music in the first place. It’s loud. It’s messy. It’s a little unhinged. And honestly? It’s about time.”

  • “ONE OF THE PUREST EXAMPLES OF ART-PUNK IN TOWN, THEY BLEND QUIRK AND COMPLEX RHYTHMS WITH DUELING GUITARS AND A SOPHISTICATED TAKE ON OTHERWISE MUNDANE ASPECTS OF LIFE, ACCENTUATED WITH SPASMATIC STAGE PERFORMANCES THAT ARE SIMPLY MAGNETIC TO EXPERIENCE LIVE.”
